Plants with great development which form a large, spherical bud with smooth leaves, closely overlapped with each other. They are distinguished by the size of the bud, which can vary from 1 kg to 6-8 kg (range from industry for sauerkraut), by their colour ---from light green to red (can turn purple), and finally by the globular form which may become elongated. These are plants that can be grown in spring-summer and harvested prior to the first winter frosts, even if they have good resistance to the cold.
