RADICCHIO TREVISO TYPE RED CHICORY

The head is made up of elongated, red leaves with pronounced and crispy ribs. Ideal for salads, risotto, and grilled. There are late-maturing types for summer transplantation and winter harvesting that may or may not undergo whitening and early varieties that are suitable for cultivation in spring and summer. These latter varieties form the heart without whitening.

Description:

Middle-late variety - 130/140 days from sowing. Erect tuft 25-30 cm long, reddish purple. We recommend tying to foster a better maturation, ten days before harvest. Overall, this plant is hardy and vigorous. Seeding: in mid-July.

Description:

Early-middle - 100/110 days from sowing. The head is erected, self-closing, elliptical, 22-25 cm high. Bright red, interior foliage, with broad, almost white midrib. Sow from the end of June and harvest from mid-October onwards. It cannot tolerate cold.
